John’s business career began as a business systems analyst with the NCR Corporation, within five years becoming a Business Systems Division Branch Manager. John’s season with Times-Mirror Cable/Dimension Cable Television focused on increasing its value, especially its ad-sales unit for its eventual sale to Cox Communications.
In 2018, John’s entertainment entity engaged with the companies of Jason Brents and soon thereafter with Stephen Wollweth's, to form ONEDOOR STUDIOS, now developing a slate of motion pictures and series for studios and major global distributors release, and directing the launch of the dynamically advanced global streaming service, MyStreme.
John took three-years off to write the Business of Entertainment curricula for and serve as a faculty member of BYU’s Film School and authored "The Producer's Business Handbook," a best seller in its category, now in its fourth edition.
